ENVIRONMENTAL WATER SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Job Location: Greater Detroit Area
Sell water treatment boiler and cooling tower chemicals to a variety of industrial customers in the greater Southeast Michigan/Northwest Ohio area. As a District Sales Representative you will work closely with your customers to troubleshoot and resolve daily operational and manufacturing.
Sales Representatives are responsible for maintaining their existing customer base and for making cold calls to develop new business. This position is a highly visible engineering and technical sales role that includes daily interface with Operations, Technical, and Senior Plant Management personnel. This is an opportunity for someone with real sales skills and good technical knowledge to make a huge impact.
Responsibilities also include:
- You will be responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in the assigned territory.
- You will be responsible for promoting and selling maintenance services to new and existing customers.
- Responsible for hands-on servicing accounts which includes, but not limited to, chemical testing, calibration and repair of chemical feed related equipment, and visual inspections of systems when necessary
- Scheduling service and sales calls --- weekly and monthly reporting
- Continue to identify new business needs and opportunities as well as develop and implement customized solutions for our customers.
- Performing other administrative related duties as required.
The PREFERRED qualifications the candidate include:
- Prior experience with or exposure to unit operations such as industrial boilers, condensers, cooling towers, reverse osmosis (RO) units, heat exchangers, refrigeration units, waste treatment operations, water treatment, and/or specialty chemicals a plus
- 2 - 5 years sales experience, in industrial water treatment
- B.S. Engineering Degree,Chemical or Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, Biology or similar technical degree is acceptable
Compensation includes a very attractive base salary with no cap commission, 401(k), laptop, phone, and medical benefits.
